Creamy Samp and Beans

Celebrating Mandela Day with one of Tata’s favourites! 

Serves: 3-4

Ingredients:

  • 200g samp
  • 400g dried sugar beans
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup Clover Fresh milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How To Make Creamy Samp and Beans

  1. Place the samp and beans in a pot, cover with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat and cook for 2 hours until the samp and beans are soft. Stirring in between to prevent sticking.
  3. After an hour, add the stock cube and simmer for another few minutes.
  4. Stir in the butter and the Clover Fresh milk.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.
