Crosse & Blackwell Vegan Sushi Bowl

Summer is here, and you can still get that body. Crosse & Blackwell wants you to re-imagine everyday healthy melas at home which are super easy yet still have that flavour twist! There really is something for everyone with the Crosse & Blackwell range.

Serves: 2-4

Ingredients:

1 cup sushi rice
300g firm tofu, cut into medium cubes
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp garlic
1 cup cucumber, julienned
1 cup carrots, julienned
1 avocado
Pickle ginger
Crosse & Blackwell Trim Mayonnaise

Method:

Cook the rice according to packaging instructions
In a bowl, toss and marinate the tofu, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic for 10 minutes
Heat a skillet, add a drizzle of oil and add the marinated tofu. Cook the tofu for 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy and golden
To serve, divide the rice amongst the bowls, followed by the cucumber, carrots, avocado and pickled ginger. Top with the Crosse & Blackwell trim mayonnaise and enjoy

Chefs Tip:

  • You may serve the dish with addition soy sauce and wasabi
  • For a non-vegan version, feel free to substitute the tofu with fresh salmon or trout
