Curry Sides Two Ways: Sambal & Dhai

Two quick and delicious sides that are perfect companions to your favourite curries—a fresh and zesty sambal and a creamy, flavourful dhai. These simple additions will take your curry night to the next level!

Ingredients:

  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, cubed
  • 1 – 2 chilies, deseeded & chopped
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp white sugar
  • Handful chopped coriander
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

How To Make Sambal

  1. Add vinegar and sugar into a medium bowl, then mix until sugar dissolves, add in the rest of the ingredients and mix until well combined, season to taste with salt & pepper. Serve on the side of your favourite curry.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups double thick plain yoghurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 – 3 green chilies
  • ¼ fresh coriander, chopped
  • Salt, to taste

How To Make Dhai/Raita

  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix until well combined, season to taste.
