How To Make
- For gravy: Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, carrot and celery and saute for 5-8 minutes or until soft.
- Add the flour and cook until lightly browned.
- Add the stocks and fresh herbs, and stir to combine, removing any stuck bits from the bottom.
- Allow the gravy to simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once ready, the gravy should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Use a strainer and drain the gravy. Discard the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- For pretzels: Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Break the chocolate into a bowl, and melt in the microwave. Stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Colour the chocolate green. Place the melted chocolate in a piping bag.
- Arrange pretzels about 7cm apart on the baking sheet. Line them up in rows, leaving equal distance in between.
- Cut a small hole off the tip of the piping bag.
- Start with a small zigzag at the top of the pretzel and continue creating a longer zigzag as you reach the bottom to create a triangle shape.
- Decorate with sprinkles. Allow to harden for at least 60 minutes.
- Remove from the parchment paper and serve.
