  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ cup Mrs. Balls Original Chutney
  • ½ cup Mrs. Balls Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger, grated
  • 15ml Cooking Oil
  • Sesame seeds and red chillies (for garnish)

How To Make Glazed Chicken Wings

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with foil or baking paper.
  2. Place a wire rack on top of the tray (this helps with even crisping).
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with Cajun spice, onion powder, garlic powder, baking powder, and a generous squeeze of lemon juice.
  4. Toss until all the wings are evenly coated.
  5. Arrange them in a single layer on the rack and bake for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway through, until the skin is golden and crispy.
  6. While the wings are baking, prepare your glaze by combining Mrs. Balls Original Chutney, Sweet Chilli Sauce, soy sauce, honey, crushed garlic, grated ginger, and cooking oil in a saucepan.
  7. Simmer over low heat for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and brush generously with the glaze.
  9. Return them to the oven for another 5–7 minutes to caramelize.
  10. To finish, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped red chillies.
  11. Serve immediately while sticky, hot, and full of South African flavour.
