Golden Statuette Lemon & White Chocolate Truffles

These Golden Lemon & White Chocolate Truffles are rich, creamy and finished with a touch of edible gold the perfect sweet treat worthy of the red carpet.

Serves: 18–20 truffles
 Prep time: 20 minutes + chilling

Ingredients:

  • 200 g white chocolate, chopped
  •  ½ cup fresh cream
  •  1 tsp vanilla extract
  •  1 tsp finely grated lemon zest
  •  ½ cup crushed tennis biscuits or digestive biscuits

For coating

  • ½ cup desiccated coconut or extra crushed biscuits
     Edible gold dust or gold sprinkles

How To Make Golden Statuette Lemon & White Chocolate Truffles

  1. Place the chopped white chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Heat the cream in a small saucepan until just steaming, then pour over the chocolate. Let stand for 1 minute.
  3. Stir until smooth and glossy, then mix in the vanilla, lemon zest and crushed biscuits.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for about 1 hour until firm enough to roll.
  5. Scoop small portions and roll into bite-sized balls.
  6. Roll the truffles in coconut or biscuit crumbs.
  7. Finish with a light dusting of edible gold dust to give them a glamorous Academy Awards sparkle.
