Jungle Taystee Wheat 2 Ways

Jungle Taystee Wheat is such a nostalgic breakfast in South Africa and has been a firm favourite for years! But people often have different ways of making it, and today, we are showing you our way of making it – PLUS doing a milktart version, just because it’s lekker!

Serves: 2-4
Time: 15 minutes
Recipe by: Nicole Snelling 

½ Cup Jungle Taystee wheat
2 Cups water
½ tsp salt

Traditional:
½ Cup milk
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp sugar

Milktart:
1 tsp ground cinnamon
4 Tbsp brown sugar
Dollop of condensed milk (optional)

Method:

Place the ingredients into a pot and whisk until smooth.
Cook according to package instruction.
Serve with option of your choice.

Chefs Tip: Make it your own by adding your favourite flavours.
