Rib Eye Steak with Crushed Potatoes & Berry Pan Jus

Ingredients:

 

  • 2 rib eye steaks  
  • olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • 50g black berries
  • 50g raspberries
  • 60ml red wine
  • 10ml balsamic vinegar
  • 300g baby potatoes, cooked
  • 125g tenderstem Broccoli
  • 10ml paprika

To serve:
Micro greens to garnish

How To Make Pan-Fried Rib Eye Steak with Crushed Potatoes & Berry Pan Jus

  1. Heat your skillet till smoking. Season steak with salt and pepper. 
  2. Add oil to your skillet and fry your steaks for 8 minutes on each side and set aside to rest. In the same pan, deglaze with non-alcoholic red wine & add balsamic vinegar. 
  3. Add berries and let it reduce. Add honey for a sweeter sauce (optional). 
  4. Season to taste with salt & pepper. Crush your cooked baby potatoes with the back of a spoon. 
  5. In a hot pan add oil, add potatoes and broccoli season with salt, pepper and paprika and cook until crispy and golden
  6. Garnish with micro greens
