Molten Salted Caramel Brownies
The epitome of indulgence!

Serves: 8-12
Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 250g crème caramels
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 170g butter
- 100g dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- To serve:
- Vanilla ice cream
- Caramel syrup
How To Make Molten Salted Caramel Brownies
- Preheat the oven to 180C and prepare two square baking tins with parchment paper.
- Place the crème caramels in saucepan and melt on a medium-low heat.
- Once melted, sprinkle the sea salt and stir to combine.
- Pour the caramel into one of the prepare baking tins and place in the freezer to freeze.
- In the meantime, make the brownie batter.
- Combine the butter and the chocolate in the microwave safe bowl.
- Melt in 30 second intervals until smooth.
- Add the sugar, eggs and vanilla and whisk until smooth.
- Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt and chocolate chips and fold in until thoroughly combined.
- Spread half the batter into the baking tin.
- Once the caramel block is completely set, remove from the baking tin and place the block on the brownie batter.
- Cover the caramel block with the remaining brownie batter and spread to even out.
- Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes
- Remove from the oven and cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
