
Puff Pastry Easter Nests
Easy and delicious treats for Easter that the little ones can help with!

Serves: 6-8
Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1/3 cup chocolate spread
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup chocolate mousse
- ½ cup multi coloured eggs
How To Make Puff Pastry Easter Nests
- Preheat an oven to 180C and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the puff pastry on your work surface, spread the chocolate spread over half the puff pastry, leaving the other half clear.
- Fold the clear puff pastry side over the chocolate spread side and press down gently.
- Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut 1-2cm strips.
- Working a strip at a time, twist then swirl each piece and place on the baking sheet.
- Brush the swirls with egg wash and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes our until golden brown.
- Place the chocolate mousse in a piping bag.
- Once the swirls have cooled completely. Pipe chocolate mouse in the centre of each swirl.
- Top with the multi coloured eggs and enjoy!
