Preparation time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
For the Latte:
- 1 sachet Jacobs Cadbury Caramel Mocha
- 1 cup full cream milk
- 1 Tbsp homemade caramel or store-bought
- Pinch of salt flakes
- Whipped cream, to serve
For the brûlée topping:
- 2 tsp castor sugar
- Kitchen torch
How To Make Salted Caramel Brûlée Latte
- Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until it’s steaming but not boiling.
- Alternatively, you can froth the milk using a milk frother.
- In a mug, empty the Jacobs Cadbury Caramel Mocha sachet.
- Add about 2-3 tablespoons of hot water to the coffee mix and stir well to dissolve the coffee granules.
- Pour in the heated milk (and froth it if you like a little foam on top) and stir to combine with the coffee.
- Add 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce and a pinch of sea salt.
- Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Carefully sprinkle a thin, even layer of sugar on top of your latte.
- Using a small kitchen torch, caramelize the sugar by gently heating it with the flame until it turns golden brown.
- If you don’t have a torch, you can place the latte under a broiler for a few seconds (be sure to watch it carefully to prevent burning).
- Top with extra whipped cream and drizzle over some caramel, garnish with salt flakes and serve immediately.
