WORLD SPORTS BETTING BET TO THE BEAT COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Important clauses which may limit our responsibility, place an obligation on you to indemnify us, involve an acknowledgement of any fact or involve some risk for you will be in bold and italics. You must pay special attention to these clauses.

1.INTRODUCTION

1.1. The World Sports Betting Bet to the Beat social media competition (“Competition”) is being run by Cardova Trading (Pty) Ltd in association with World Sports Betting. (“Organiser/we/us/our”).
1.2. Each person entering the Competition (“participants/entrants/you/your”) and/or accepting any prize in terms of the Competition, agrees and accepts that the Competition rules as set out in these terms and conditions (“Rules”) are binding on him or her.
1.3. The Competition shall consist of entrants commenting on the WSB Bet to the Beat competition post on Expresso Morning Show’s social media pages in their own words over the course of the Competition Period (as defined below). Entrants also need to use #WorldSportsBetting when sharing their entry.

2.COMPETITION PERIOD

2.1.  The Competition will commence on Tuesday 5 May 2026 at 06h00 and will close on Monday 1 February 2027 at 12h00 (“Competition Period”).
2.2.  No entries received after the end of the Competition Period will be considered.

3.WHO CAN ENTER

3.1.   In order to be eligible to enter the Competition you must:
3.1.1.  be a legal, permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa (“South Africa”);
3.1.2.  be in possession of a valid identity document with a 13 (thirteen) digit identity number;
3.1.3.  be 18 (eighteen) years old or older on the date you enter;
3.1.4. be a natural person; and
3.1.5.  not be barred or disqualified by any authority from participating in the Competition and/or taking delivery and transfer of the prize(s) or any portion thereof available to be won during the Competition.
3.2.   Notwithstanding clause 3.1, you are not eligible to enter this Competition if:
3.2.1   you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Organiser, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Organiser;
3.2.2   you are an immediate family member of any of the persons specified in clause 3.2.1; or
3.2.3   you are a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition.

4.HOW TO ENTER

4.1 Entrants may enter by commenting on the Competition post published on any one of the following Expresso Morning Show social pages (“Social Pages”) and answering the following question:
4.1.1.   Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/expressoshow.sabc3)

All entries must include the hashtag #WorldSportsBetting
4.2.   In order for your entry to be valid:
4.2.1.   you must comply with these Rules;
4.2.2.   you must include #WorldSportsBetting in your reply/comment; and
4.3.  Once you meet the requirements set out in these Rules, you will automatically be entered into the Competition.
4.4.  There is no restriction on the number of times you may enter during the Competition Period as long as each entry is unique.
4.5.  No automated entries will be allowed. Entries must be made manually by a natural person.
4.6.  If your entry is submitted in a manner that in the sole discretion of the Organiser will provide you with an unfair advantage over other entrants, you will be disqualified from the Competition. The Organiser further reserves its rights, in its sole discretion, to remove any entries, posts and/or comments from any social media pages of the Organiser.
4.7.  The costs of each entry will be for the account of the entrant, including standard internet costs.

5.DETERMINATION OF WINNERS

5.1. The Organiser will, at its discretion, select finalist entries on a recurring basis throughout the Competition Period, up to a maximum of 100 (ONE HUNDRED) finalists in total. All finalist entries must have been validly submitted during the Competition Period and will be shared with a panel of judges appointed by the Organiser, in its sole discretion.
5.2.  We will notify the finalists by commenting on their entry post to request copies of each finalist’s identification document in order to validate his/her entry, physical address, contact details as well as any other information requested. Each finalist will be required to provide an electronic copy of his/her identification document and any other information requested within 24 (TWENTY FOUR) hours from being requested by us to do so.
5.3.  If a finalist does not reply to the notification message sent by us, and/or fails to provide the information requested by us, within 24 (TWENTY FOUR) hours of it being sent by us, that finalist will forfeit being a finalist and will have no claim against us. In the event of a forfeiture as contemplated herein, we shall have the right, but shall not be obliged, to select a different entrant on the same conditions.
5.4.  The panel of judges will review the verified finalist entries and select their favourite 19 (NINETEEN) entries throughout the Competition Period, based on creativity, originality and excitement, with each selected entrant being deemed a Winner.
5.5.  Once the judges have selected the chosen winners, we will notify the winners by email, phone call and/or WhatsApp and plan logistics. Each winner will be required to be available to be filmed by Chad Jones and the WSB Bet to the Beat production team at their home, workplace, or another mutually agreed location.
5.6.  All 19 (NINETEEN) Winners will be announced on the Expresso Show on S3 and on the Expresso Show social media pages throughout the competition period.
5.7.  If a winner does not wish to be available for filming, that winner will forfeit the opportunity and prize and will have no claim against us. In the event of a forfeiture as contemplated herein, we shall have the right, but shall not be obliged, to select a different entrant on the same conditions.
5.8.  By entering the Competition you (a) consent to the announcements on the Social Pages and the Expresso Show and (b) consent and agree to your name, image (if applicable) and contact details being collected, used, stored and processed by the Organisers for purposes of the Competition as well as marketing purposes in relation to World Sports Betting.

6.THE PRIZE

6.1.  Subject to clause 5, the Organiser shall select a total of 19 (NINETEEN) Winners – over the Competition Period – who will each receive the chance at winning up to R20,000 (TWENTY THOUSAND RAND) on the World Sports Betting Bet to the Beat Wheel.
WSB Bet to the Beat Wheel wedge amounts are as follows:
 6.1.1 R4000 (FOUR THOUSAND RAND)
6.1.2  R5000 (FIVE THOUSAND RAND)
6.1.3  R6000 (SIX THOUSAND RAND)
6.1.4  R8000 (EIGHT THOUSAND RAND)
6.1.5  R9000 (NINE THOUSAND RAND)
6.1.6  R10,000 (TEN THOUSAND RAND)
6.1.7 DOUBLE SPIN (Meaning the Winner will spin again and the amount landed on in the second spin will be doubled)
6.2 Should the Winner be a registered and verified World Sports Betting account holder, an additional R2000 (TWO THOUSAND RAND) will be added to the total amount of winnings
6.3 Should the Winner participate in the dance challenge with Chad Jones as part of the Bet to the Beat filming segment, an additional R2,000 (TWO THOUSAND RAND) will be added to the total amount of winnings.
6.4  The total cash prize will be transferred into each Winner’s verified World Sports Betting account within 60 (SIXTY) days of the Winner providing their account details, all required supporting documentation, and successfully completing the verification process.
6.5  The prize excludes all items not mentioned in clause 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 and may differ from images or items used in marketing material for the Competition.
6.6.  The prize, or any part thereof, may not be exchanged by the Winner for any other item. Prizes are not transferable. We reserve the right to substitute the prize, or part thereof, with any other prize of a similar commercial value.
6.7.  Any taxes and/or costs associated with the receipt of any prize shall be for the account of the Winner.

7.GENERAL TERMS

7.1.  The Organiser may in its sole discretion amend these Rules at any time, without notice, and such amendment(s) shall be deemed to have taken effect from the date of publication of the revised Rules on the Websites.
7.2.  The Organiser will interpret the Rules in their sole discretion and reserve the right to amend the Rules at any time should it be deemed necessary in the sole and unfettered discretion of the Organiser.
7.3.  If you are not eligible to enter the Competition in terms of these Rules, you will forfeit any prize that may be allocated to you in terms of this Competition. The Organiser reserves the right to request you to provide necessary proof that you have met the eligibility requirements. Should you fail to provide such proof within the time period provided for in these Rules, you will be disqualified and any prizes will be forfeited and returned if applicable.
7.4.  The Organiser may collect, store and use any personal information of entrants and/or other participants for communication, marketing or statistical purposes. By entering the Competition, you expressly consent to the aforesaid use.
7.5.  In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Organiser will be final and binding and no correspondence and/or discussion will be entered into. In this regard and for further clarity, the Organiser shall be entitled to deal with such disputes (or any failure by participants to follow the Rules) in their sole discretion, including that the Organiser shall be entitled, in addition to any other rights which the Organiser may have in terms of these Rules, to immediately disqualify participants from the Competition
7.6.  By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize, the entrants, users and/or Winners hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless the Organiser (including its subsidiaries, holding companies and affiliates), its directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors (the “Organiser Parties”) from and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss, damage, expense, claim and/or amount of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Competition, and/or the use, acceptance or possession of a prize, and/or participation (or non-participation) in a prize-related activity.
7.7.  The Organiser reserves the right to terminate the Competition at any time with immediate effect. If this is the case, the Organiser will provide a notice on the Website. It shall be the responsibility of entrants to review the Website in this respect. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against any of the Organiser Parties and acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature against the Organiser Parties.
7.8.  The Organiser is not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted and/or selected.
7.9.  Any prize is accepted by a Winner at his/her own risk and the Organiser is not liable, at any time, for any defect in the prize.
7.10.  Where relevant:
7.10.1.  if a Winner does not accept the prize or is deemed not to accept the prize;
7.10.2.  if an entry is not valid for whatever reason;
7.10.3.  if a Winner has breached these Rules;
7.10.4.  if a Winner does something that amounts to hate speech, the incitement of violence, is disparaging, discriminatory, harmful and/or unlawful and/or which, in the sole discretion of the Organiser does or may bring the Organiser Parties, Expresso Show, World Sports Betting and/or the Competition into disrepute;
7.10.5.  if a Winner renounces the prize or we deem such Winner to have renounced the prize, we reserve the right to declare the prize forfeited and/or choose a new Winner.
7.11.  Nothing in these Rules is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the entrants or the Organisers in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
7.12.  The duration of this Competition may also be extended or curtailed at the sole discretion of the Organiser. If this is the case, the Organiser will provide notice of this on the Website.
