Mini Bodega "Chopped Cheese" Sliders

Everyday dishes with that extra touch of luxury!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 slices of American cheese
  • 12 mini brioche slider buns
  • 4 slices of beef bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely diced bell peppers (red and green)
  • Optional “Met” Upgrade: 1 tsp truffle oil (to mimic the “Truffle Chopped Cheese” version)
  • Shredded iceberg lettuce and sliced tomato for garnish

How To Make Mini Bodega “Chopped Cheese” Sliders

  1. Sear the Beef: In a large cast-iron skillet over high heat, add the ground beef and diced bell peppers. Use a spatula to break the meat into small, craggy bits.
  2. Season: Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. If you want the gala’s “truffle” flair, drizzle the truffle oil over the meat now.
  3. Chop and Melt: Once the beef is browned and crispy, top the meat directly in the pan with the American cheese slices. Cover the pan for 30 seconds until the cheese is gooey and melted. Use your spatula to “chop” the cheese into the meat.
  4. Assemble: Toast the slider buns. Place a generous spoonful of the cheesy beef mixture on each bun.
  5. Finish: Top with chopped beef bacon, a pinch of shredded lettuce, and a tomato slice. Secure with a cocktail pick for that “party” presentation.
