Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Clover Way Better’s Full Cream Butter Spread is the secret to this light and fluffy Buttercream frosting!


  • ½ cup Clover Full Cream Butter Spread, at room temperature
  • 2 cups icing sugar, sifted
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3 drops food colouring, or as needed (Optional)

How To Make Buttercream Frosting

  1. Cream butter in the bowl and beat until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Gradually beat in icing sugar until fully incorporated.
  3. Beat in vanilla extract.
  4. Add milk and beat for an additional 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Add food colouring, if using, and beat for thirty seconds until smooth or until desired colour is reached.
  6. Place the buttercream icing in your piping bag and decorate your baked goods.
  7. Alternatively, you can use an offset spatula to decorate.
