WOOLWORTHS Tuna Lunch Box Ideas

Kiddies Tuna Mayo Packed Lunch

Ingredients:

For the sweet cucumber pickle
1/2 cup white vinegar
2T Woolies brown sugar alternative
1/4 English cucumber, thinly sliced

170g Light meat tuna chunks in brine
3T Tangy vegan mayonnaise
2 stalks white salad onions, whites only finely chopped
1 Free from gluten seeded roll, halved and toasted in olive oil
Grated carrot
Butter lettuce cups, a few leaves

Pack with:
Berry yoghurt smoothie bar
Chutney flavoured mini rice cakes
500ml Sparkling coconut and pineapple spring drink

Method:

For the sweet pickled cucumbers, add the vinegar and sugar to a small bowl and mix for a few seconds before placing in the microwave for 30 seconds. Remove from the microwave and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Add your cucumber slices to Woolies vacuum sealed glass container and pour over the vinegar mixture. Cover with the lid and place in the fridge to chill.

Add the tuna to a mixing bowl along with the mayo and combine with the chopped whites of the salad onions

Add a few lettuce leaves to your toasted bun followed by some of the tuna mayo salad. Add a few slices of the pickled cucumber, shaking off any excess pickle liquid before placing on the tuna.

Cover with the top of the bun and cutting half before packing into the lunch box along with the berry yoghurt smoothie bar, chutney flavoured rice cakes and sparkling water.

Office Korean-inspired Tuna Mayo Packed Lunch

Ingredients:

170g light meat tuna chunks in brine
2t Asian gochujang paste
3T tangy vegan mayonnaise
2 stalks white salad onion, green part, thinly sliced
A sprinkling of everything bagel seasoning
1 free from gluten seeded bun, toasted in olive oil
Butter lettuce a few leaves
Sweet pickled cucumber
260g Crunchy Asian-style slaw salad

Pack with:
Dry roasted and unsalted almond nuts
Flavourburst yellow flesh nectarines
1.5L sparkling coconut and pineapple spring drink

Method:

Combine the tuna, gochujang paste, mayonnaise and sliced salad onions in a mixing bowl.
Add a few lettuce leaves to the toasted bun followed by your tuna salad adding and a sprinkling of Woolies everything bagel seasoning and some pickled cucumber.

Cover with the top of the bun and pack along with the roasted nuts, flavour burst nectarines and the sparkling drink.

For that 3pm slump, serve any extra tuna mayo salad with Woolies Crunchy Asian slaw style salad
