Cheese Steak Sub
Perfect for game day, braai day or just a lazy weekend treat!

Serves: 2
Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 large bread rolls, halved
- 4 tbsp garlic butter
- 2 tbsp oil
- 550g beef strips
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 red onions, sliced
- ½ green pepper, sliced
- ½ cup bbq sauce
- 1 cup white cheddar, grated
How To Make Cheese Steak Sub
- Heat a large skillet. Spread the garlic butter on each the bread rolls.
- And place in the pan, buttered side down, to toast. Once golden brown, remove from the pan and set aside.
- To the same pan add the oil, followed by the beef strips, garlic powder, smoked paprika and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring as needed.
- Add the red onions and green pepper, continue to cook until the veg is slightly soft.
- Add the bbq sauce, cook for a further minute.
- Remove from the heat, fold in the cheese and stir until incorporated and melted.
- Stuff the bread buns with the cheese steak mixture.
- Serve with mayo or any preferred sauce.
