
Cheesy Broccoli & Cauliflower Bake
In celebration of 100 years of #NourishingGreatStarts, we use Kellogg’s Corn Flakes and All-Bran for a touch of crunch in this recipe!

Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients:
- ½ head of cauliflower, cut into medium-sized florets
- ½ head of broccoli, cut into medium-sized florets
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups Emmental cheese
- For the crumb;
- 1 cup Kellogg’s Corn Flakes
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 tbsp mixed herbs
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ cup Kellogg’s All-Bran Flakes
How To Make Cheesy Broccoli and Cauliflower Bake
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Steam the broccoli and cauliflower until tender or for 4-5 minutes.
- Drain and transfer to casserole baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and cook the onion and garlic until soft.
- Whisk in the flour until thick, then gradually whisk in the milk.
- Keep whisking until mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Remove from the heat and add half the grated cheese.
- Season with salt, pepper, and fresh thyme.
- Pour the cheese sauce over the broccoli.
- For the crumb; place the Kellogg’s All-Bran & Corn Flakes in zip lock bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- In a bowl, combine the crushed Kellogg’s All-Bran Flakes, Corn Flakes , mixed herbs, cayenne and smoked paprika.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the casserole and follow with the crumb mixture.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown
