Clover Almond Croissant Flavoured Brioche Bread

Ingredients:
- 1 loaf brioche bread
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- Frangipane:
- 85g Clover Springbok Unsalted Butter, room temperature
- 80g sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- ½ tsp almond essence
- 1 ¼ cup almond flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- To serve:
- Icing sugar
- Almonds
How To Make Almond Croissant Flavoured Brioche Bread
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Place butter into a large mixing bowl, add in sugar and beat using an electric hand mixer until pale and fluffy.
- Then beat in eggs one at a time waiting until the first one is completely incorporated before adding the second egg.
- Then beat in vanilla and almond essence, lastly fold in almond flour and salt until well combined.
- Meanwhile prepare the syrup by placing sugar and water into a saucepan over medium heat, then bring to a boil stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
- Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Slice brioche and place onto a lined baking tray, brush each slice of bread with simple syrup then spoon ¼ cup of frangipane onto each slice, top with chopped almonds and bake for 5 – 6 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve immediately and garnish with a dusting of icing sugar, Enjoy!
