Clover Bliss Red Velvet Chocolate Beignets

Deep fried dough with Clover Bliss for double the indulgence!


1 cup flour
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
2 large eggs, separated
1 tbsp melted butter
1-2 tbsp Clover Bliss Double Cream yoghurt, Red Velvet flavor
1 tsp red food colouring
Oil for frying
Icing sugar for dusting


 In a large bowl, combine egg yolks, sugar, Bliss yoghurt, melted butter and red food colouring. whisk together flour and baking powder, and fold into dry ingredients until just combined. If the batter is too thick, add a dash of milk.
In a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form, then fold into batter.
Heat the oil in a large pot. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden, about 5 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving and serve with Bliss Red Velvet yoghurt glaze.

For the glaze, whisk together 4 tbsp Bliss Double Cream yoghurt, red velvet flavour with 3 tbsp icing sugar until smooth. Set aside until ready to use.
