Clover Krush Orange Juice Scones

If the perfect drink for all of life’s best moments existed, it would be a 100% Krush juice.

435 g cake flour sifted
2 tbsp baking powder sifted
75 g sugar
100g butter, room temp
140 ml buttermilk
100 ml Krush, orange flavour
2 eggs large room temp
1 tsp orange essence
2 tbsp egg mixture reserved for glazing
Strawberry jam to serve


Preheat oven at 190◦ C
Into a large bowl combine flour, baking powder and sugar. With your fingertips work the butter into the flour until it resembles bread crumbs. In another bowl mix buttermilk, Krush orange juice, eggs and orange essence. With a wooden spoon add wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Once combined tip the sticky dough into a floured surface. Mould into a thick disc cut about 2.5 cm height and cut into rounds. Place on a lined baking sheet and brush the tops with the mixture you reserved earlier. Bake on a pre-heated oven for 15 minutes. Serve with chantilly cream and strawberry jam.
