Season to taste with salt and pepper.When the hashbrowns are cooked, remove from the oven and top each with cheese.Return to the oven for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.Once melted, transfer the hashbrowns to a plate, top with spoonfuls of the sour cream mixture, sprinkle over bacon bits and finish with fresh chives.
