Grilled Lamb Chops

Juicy, flavourful, and don’t take long to make. Great for family dinners or braai’s.

Ingredients:

  • 8 lamb chops
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1 tbsp dried)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, to serve

How To Make Grilled Lamb Chops

  1. In a small bowl, mix garlic, rosemary, thyme, lemon zest, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pat the lamb chops dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the marinade all over the chops.
  4. Heat your grill or braai to medium-high.
  5. Oil the grates lightly to prevent sticking.
  6. Place lamb chops on the grill.
  7. Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side for medium- rare, or longer if you prefer them more done.
  8. Use tongs to flip — avoid piercing the meat to keep the juices in.
  9. Remove the chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  10. This allows the juices to redistribute.
  11. Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favourite sides.
