  • ¼ tsp tumeric
  • ¼ tsp red chilpowder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ¼ tsp garam masala
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp oil or butter, for cooking

How To Make Masala French Toast

  1. In a bowl whisk together eggs, milk, spices, salt & pepper, then stir onions, tomatoes, chilies and coriander.
  2. Heat oil or butter in a non-stick pan.
  3. Dip each slices of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s coated, place into the heated pan and cook for 2 -3 minutes on each side or until golden and slightly cripsy, remove from th pan.
  4. Serve immedately with chutney, garnish with fresh coriander and enjoy!

Chefs Tip: Use slightly stale bread as it works best to absorb the masala egg mixture without becoming too soggy. Cook on a medium heat to ensure the toast gets golden brown and crispy without burning.
