Matcha Ice-Cream with Caramelized Pears
Indulgent but still packed with natural goodness!

Preparation time: 30 minutes, plus 4 hours to set
Ingredients:
For the matcha ice-cream:
- 2 cups fresh cream
- 1 ½ cups sweetened condensed milk
- 4 Tbsp matcha powder, mixed with 1Tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla paste
For the caramelized pears:
- 2 pears, halved & core removed
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
To serve:
- Waffles, toasted pistachios, chopped melted dark chocolate, optional mint
How To Make Matcha Ice-Cream with Caramelized Pears
- For the ice-cream: In a large mixing bowl add cream, matcha powder mixture and vanilla paste then use a hand mixer and mix until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the Clover condensed milk into the cream mixture, continue folding until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a loaf tin, cover with plastic wrap and freeze for 3-4 hours.
- For the caramelized pears: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter then add sugar, honey, ginger, lemon juice and stir.
- Allow the mixture to boil then reduce the heat and add in the pears, simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Serve the ice-cream with waffles & caramelized pears on the side.
- Garnish with pistachios & mint.
