Nostalgic Chocolate Porridge

Nothing like a bowl of chocolatey goodness on an Easter morning, with an indulgent twist thanks to Beacon mmmMallows

Serves: 2-4
Time: 30 minutes


  • 1L water
  • 1 ½ cup maize meal
  • 8 Beacon marshmallow eggs

How To Make Chocolate Porridge

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a medium pot.
  2. Gently pour in the maize meal while whisking simultaneously.
  3. Turn the heat down to low-medium and cook for 20 minutes until smooth. Stirring with a wooden spoon occasionally.
  4. Once cooked, dish into bowls.
  5. Cut the marshmallow eggs into small pieces and add to the porridge. Stir and enjoy!
