Spicy Chicken Curry

Turn up the heat with this delicious chicken curry!

  • 2 chicken fillets, cubed
  • 2 small potatoes, cubed
  • ½ Cup Plain yoghurt
  • 1 tin tomato puree
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1 Tbsp garlic and ginger
  • 1 Tbsp medium curry powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Steamed rice, to serve
  • Fresh coriander, chopped to serve

How To Make 

  1. Pour the yoghurt into a mixing bowl and add the chicken.
  2. Allow to marinate for 1 hour.
  3. Add the oil and onion to a medium heated saucepan and allow to cook for 3 – 4 minutes until golden in colour.
  4. Add the garlic and ginger and the spices and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the tinned tomato, potatoes, and chicken and top with water if needed.
  6. Allow to cook for 35-40 minutes, until thickened.
  7. Serve with steamed rice and fresh coriander.
